Feedback & Community

TabBoy keeps user feedback open, transparent, and actionable. We distinguish between technical defect tracking and community product suggestions to ensure every contribution receives the right attention.

Where to share feedback

  • Bug reports (GitHub Issues): If something is broken, crashing, or misbehaving, submit a structured report via GitHub Issues. This keeps reproducible steps, browser versions, and diagnostics close to the codebase.
  • Feature ideas & voting (Fider feedback board): Have an idea for a new feature, a workflow enhancement, or want to vote on what gets built next? Visit our public TabBoy Feedback Board. No GitHub account required — sign in with email or social providers.
  • Rule preset contributions: Propose reusable classification rules and URL presets via GitHub Issue Forms so they can be reviewed directly alongside test suites.
  • Security vulnerabilities: Report sensitive security concerns privately via GitHub Security Advisories rather than public boards.

Our public voting board is hosted at tabboy.fider.io.

Board categories

  • Rules & Presets: Custom rules, auto-grouping heuristics, domain patterns, and preset ideas.
  • Collections & Organization: Workspace hierarchies, drag-and-drop enhancements, archive workflows, and session restore points.
  • Interface & Navigation: Sidebar improvements, search filters, keyboard shortcuts, themes, and visual polish.
  • Integrations & General: Import/export formats, ecosystem companion tools, and general proposals.

Idea statuses

  • Open / Proposed: Community ideas open for discussion and upvoting.
  • Planned: Validated features scheduled for an upcoming milestone.
  • Completed: Features delivered in a released version of TabBoy.

[!NOTE] We operate on the free cloud tier of Fider (fair use threshold up to 250 requests). Should community volume exceed this milestone, TabBoy will transition to self-hosted Fider to keep feedback 100% open and zero-cost.
